Children In Action (CIA)
Mission Project
Children in Action Leaders wish to thank our congregation for helping and participating in “Christmas in August.” Amparo Garza and Margaret Head sewed over 90 stockings. Many of you donated toys for Missionaries Jonathan and Christy Jones in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The night began with a Christmas meal cooked by LuAnn James and the wonderful “Kitchen Crew” followed by the children singing and performing. Adults then joined the children with mission projects. It was fun to see adults working with the children, stuffing stockings, wrapping boxes for Operation Christmas Child, sorting school supplies for Neidig Elementary, and working in the Food Pantry.
Thank you ALL for your interest in Missions and helping our children learn through your actions.
Our next project will be Operation Christmas Child. We will start collecting toys and supplies soon. Look for information in the next newsletter!
