Pastor Jason Huddleston has accepted the call to serve as our new pastor. His first Sunday will be Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010. We are very happy and excited to welcome Pastor Huddleston; his wife, Hope; and sons, Cole, Connor, and Caleb. Welcome!
Special thanks to our Pastor Search Committee for all your time, effort, and prayer.
Anyone needing to retrieve furniture from the parsonage, please do so before March 15. Thank you for the use of the furniture.

Deacon Training Workshop

Week of Prayer
March is the month we have special prayers and emphasize North American Missions.
The offering for North American Missions is called the Annie Armstrong Offering and our goal is $1500.00. The Week of Prayer is March 7 -14 and there is a prayer calendar enclosed in the newsletter. Please be in prayer for all our North American Missionaries.
On March 14 Brother Paul Gonzales, from San Antonio, will be our missions speaker. Brother Paul Gonzales and his wife, Sister Anna's ministry is establishing house churches.

5) BONUS points are also earned by class members who arrive by 9:25 a.m.

Fundamentals of the Christian Life
The adult Bible study series on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. is entitled, "Fundamentals of the Christian Life." All adult members, especially new members and prospective members, are encouraged to attend. The hour includes an earnest period of comprehensive prayer.

FBC Food Pantry
needs volunteers on Wednesdays. Contact Debbie Ferguson or church office if you can help. We also need canned goods and staples, such as rice and beans. Youth Need Adults
Needed: adult help in the white building on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 until 8:00. We have tons of youth and not nearly enough adult supervision. It's a great problem to have, but Bro. Chris feels bad for the kids that show up and want to learn something but are distracted by kids that may be around them talking, 40 to 1 ratio is too much for him to handle. Contact Bro. Chris if you can help.

Bulletin and Projection Announcement Deadlines are usually 9 a.m. Thursdays.
Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Worship– March 28 (on the fourth and fifth Sundays of every month. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Potluck Dinner on the Grounds – Sunday, March 28, at Noon. The Youth will have a bake sale.
Financial Books close 9 a.m. March 10 & 26. An outside bookkeeping service performs our bookkeeping duties. Reimbursement procedures must be followed completely. If you do not have a copy of the reimbursement procedures, contact Tara Minor, Finance Coordinator.
Nursery is for children up to Age 3; and Children's Church is for Ages 3 through Kindergarten, Sundays during 10:45 a.m. Worship.
